Time and again I rehearsed
A new verse
I learned to be the mentor
Of my community center

When a disease has been diagnosed, or inherited,  we believe that we have a lot of bad luck. But it is a challenge to try to change the destiny of the disease. Somewhere along the line our DNA changed. For me it means: ‘What came ‘in’  we could try to ‘reverse’ it to take it out again’. “This is the challenge”.

It involves the whole system to change the course of a disease. It is how we become aware of how we function: “What do we eat, drink, think, the whole ‘package’”.
Our cells renew all the time. It is important to change the information you send to your cells!!! It doesn’t mean that we will always succeed in curing ourselves but it means that we may become aware what we do or think in our every day life. It means that we become conscious of what is really important in our lives. Maybe we always wanted to please others, ignoring signals of our own body. Maybe we thought that looking good and earning a lot of money was very important but we found out how important our family and friends are. Sometimes we lose contact with a family member or with a friend in a difficult period of our lives because we no longer relate to each other. Life is not about achieving your goal but the road that gets you there.
Every disease or ‘lesson’ as a challenge in our lives!.

Personally I believe it is the reason why many people are dealing with addictions: Alcohol, drugs etc. They don’t want to  feel their emptiness. As a parent we always seem to want to give an advice to our children but is important to listen to what they have to say, and to give them a feeling that they are welcome, even if they don’t follow your path’. I don’t mean to spoil them life is not about having things, or following the believes of others, but it is finding the meaning of your own life.
