My emotions used to rule my days
‘Stormy weather’ underway
Where sorrow, shame and  fear
Filled my being for many years

It always seemed to repeat
Feelings that were bitter-sweet
The mind trapped in circles
Taking many hurdles

But when I learned to let it go
My life came in a different flow
While ‘the old’ only destroys
I now experience  feelings of joy
